The mat arrived in a timely manner and with minimal visible imperfections which is amazing. I also love the feel and thickness of the material and prefer it to my other cloth mat from another company. Two small complaints is that the mat arrived darker than I had anticipated, it looks nearly brown/dark grey compared to my burgundy sleeves. This is not a huge deal but did surprise me. My biggest gripe is that the design is not a part of the mat itself, but rather appears to be a form of plastic(?) put over the mat. Not only does it seem likely that the plastic will flake off with time, looking unclean and messy, it also interferes with the otherwise excellent feel of the material. Cards can become caught on it, especially when sliding across the mat.
Perhaps there is a very good reason that the material that were used, were used. My other mat has the designs printed in the cloth which seems preferable to me, but maybe there's good reason it may not be. I know very little on the subject. Maybe it'll hold up significantly better than my expectations lead me to believe. However, it would've been nice to know nonetheless and nothing on the website indicates the texture change. I recommend a close up real world photo of the mat so it is easier to tell that the design is put on top of, and not in, the cloth.
